At Life Vineyard we are passionate about growing leaders from within our church family. This is why we have developed the Life Vineyard Church Leadership Journey, this connects to the national Vineyard Churches Uk & Ireland leadership pathway. Being a part of this wider church family means we have resources to support and encourage you in your leadership journey while working together in our local church settings. As a part of the Multi-site vision for LVC we believe it is of the upmost importance to train and develop new and potential leaders within the church, and giving them a clear pathway to follow as they grow into these roles.
Taster Session
The starting point for Life Vineyard Churches (LVC) leadership journey are our Taster Sessions. Join members of the pastoral staff team and wider leaders for a look at the stages of the leadership journey, what leadership is, criteria for leadership and time for questions too. This is a great place to start for anyone interested in stepping into leadership or growing in leadership at LVC.
Vineyard Leaders Essentials Course
Leadership Essentials is the perfect place to grow in understanding and insight alongside others from your church family.
The Vineyard Leadership Essentials Course has been developed by Vineyard Churches Uk & Ireland to help train and empower emerging and existing leaders in every season. The Essentials course is the first step along the ministry pathway. It is an off - the - shelf leadership training course, covering many of the most important foundational aspects of leadership. The idea is to train alongside others in your church family and grow together.
The Leadership Essentials course is for existing and emerging leaders, including volunteer leaders, trustees, senior leadership teams, potential leaders who have yet to step out in their leadership gifting, those who carry influence in the life of the church family and church staff. This program is for all leaders, no matter their years of experience, and exists to strengthen and release emerging and existing leaders with the relevant knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will enable them to be the kind of leaders who will stay healthy, resilient and dynamic for the long haul.

Practical Leadership
“Everyone gets to play!”
In the Vineyard we have a little phrase “everyone gets to play”! This simply means that we all have gifts, skills and passions and at LVC we wanted to see everyone step into all that Jesus has for them as a leader.
Practical leadership is exactly that leadership in practice. It is the opportunity to lead in a local church setting and to receive training and support to grow in character and skill as a leader.
To be a leader at LVC you need to be attending regularly, in a Life Group, serving and giving regularly. We believe that to lead you need to be an active member of LVC.
Vineyard College
The Leadership College is a key step in the Vineyard movement’s pathway for leadership. That means that it could form part of your journey towards vocational ministry in the Vineyard.
It comprises of a year-long intensive part-time programme for those experiencing a compelling call to leadership and seeking to invest in that call in an intentional and deliberate way. We anticipate that many of those stepping into vocational ministry or church planting in the coming years, will be graduates of the Leadership College. If you haven’t participated in Leadership Essentials before, then this can be combined with the Leadership College.
Multiplication
At LVC we have a vision to be one church in many places, to be a multisite church. As a church and wider Vineyard Movement we are also passionate about Church Planting. So, for some people the end of their leadership journey at LVC will be to plant a new site, transition into leading a site or maybe an existing Vineyard church or even plant a new Vineyard Church.
As people step towards these opportunities, there are various wider movement conversations, a discernment process and further training available. Church leadership, planting or launching a new site is not everyone’s call, but it is some peoples, maybe it’s yours? Here at LVC we would love you to journey with us as you explore your calling and we will help, train and support you every step of the way.
