The Byker Pantry is a “Half Price Shop” set up to serve the people of Byker. Not only is it a place to come and get a weekly shop at half the regular price, there is also a warm and welcoming space set up for locals to enjoy a cuppa and a chat with each other and our friendly volunteers. We are also able to provide additional advice and support and occasionally are able to run cookery courses and other exciting activities.

This project was set up to bring hope and encouragement by being a very real demonstration of Jesus love for each and every person who lives, works or have Children in school in Byker.

The Pantry is run by a team of volunteers, and there is always room for more helpers, so if you’re interested in getting involved, get in touch!

The Jubilee Street Party 2022

On the Queens Platinum Jubilee, June 2022 the Byker Pantry celebrated in style with a street Party for the local residents. Including Circus skills, Ice Cream stations and loads of Arts and Crafts,some of which are now displayed in the Pantry.
